Gone Fishin' (again)

I'm glad I took the time to make the little fishing game because it turned out to be a hit!

I was worried that Caitlin might get the magnet out of the felt hook but now I'm worried she'll poke herself or someone else in the eye with her fishing pole.
Does worrying ever stop?  I don't think so!!!

I made the dress she is wearing back in March 2009 using a pattern from AS&E and the link is here.
My daughter said to make more dresses using this pattern as she really likes it.

Changed the buttons after this photo.
But all sewing projects are on hold right now.  There are just too many outdoor projects that have been waiting all winter for my attention.

So once again, I've 'Gone Fishing' !!

  1. She's definitely enjoying the fishing game! I like the dress you made even better than the original AS&E dress. The ric-rack is a fun touch.

  2. I actually liked the polka dot buttons, but I suppose they were too much competition for the smocking. When I smock, I want that to stand out and yours is beautiful!

  3. I can't wait to see what you do with your Flower Fairies fabric! I'm now on a hunt for some. I saw it all on Amazon . . . I'm thinking my girls will LOVE it. Do you have an online store you recommend for fabric purchases? I have some smocking sites I visit, but I don't see them carrying the Flower Fairies fabric. Perhaps Amazon is the best candidate? Thanks for the comment!

  4. Hi!
I just found you from my Follower list. I must say 'wow' to all the girl dresses you have made! I spent time browsing through ALL your creations! I love your smocking, is it self taught? I would like to try smocking one day too. I have added your blog to my Google Reader. Cheers!
